Restoring American Exceptionalism

In an effort to sidetrack attention from Obama’s embarrassingly waning popularity, the liberal media has revved up their anti GOP campaign in honor of the upcoming election. MSNBC, the crowned jewel of liberal media, resorted to an extreme slander tactic that led to an on air apology. MSNBC’s Chris Matthews issued an apology on his show Hardball to the Mitt Romney campaign for alleging Romney was perhaps a “closet member of the KKK” after Romney repeated a 1920’s era KKK slogan “Keep America American.” NBC News President Steve Capus was reportedly “furious” over the manner in which the story was “handled.” Projecting Romney as the potential GOP front runner, MSNBC launched another campaign against the presidential hopeful, using his “not concerned about the very poor” comment to convince voters that a GOP vote is a vote against the lower class.

Despite the liberal media’s blatant attempt to misinform, disconcerted Americans are aware – the November 2012 presidential election is not merely an election to decide who will be president for the forthcoming four years. It is the election that will determine if America rises from the ruins of the implementation of ultra liberal policies, or if America becomes buried deep inside the abyss of a European style form of government. Thus, the unity amongst Americans has diminished – and given the current state of what once was considered a superpower nation, the cause of said division warrants exposure.

Therefore, two different types of votes will be cast in November. The first vote will be made by those who want to restore capitalism in America. The second vote will be made by those who want to secure America’s demise into a socialistic utopia. The battle lines are clearly drawn.

While the liberal and mainstream media are busy trying to appeal to the political ignorance of many voters, others are less apt to succumb to such foolery. In his victory speech after winning the Nevada caucus, Mitt Romney asked some very important questions, such as: “Did Obamacare encourage businesses to hire more people? Did the Dodd-Frank Act get banks to renegotiate or make more loans? Did the NLRB’s attack on Boeing in South Carolina encourage employers to expand? Did efforts to block the domestic production of energy and the Keystone Pipeline speed job creation? And did those billions of dollars the President sent to his green energy buddies give anyone here a job?” The answers are no.

Along with those questions, voters should also consider the ramifications of Obama’s flawed policies, which have spent America into a reduced credit rating, and forced America into a vulnerable position, nationally. What Americans are witnessing in these troubled times is nothing more than the consequence of the goal of liberal policies. In the same speech, Romney went on to say, “This President began his presidency by apologizing for America. He should now be apologizing to America”

Obama stated in his Inaugural address that he wanted to “remake America.” America needs a president that seeks not to “fundamentally transform” this great nation, but rather endorse the principles that has made America a superpower nation. “We want to restore America to the founding principles thatmade this country great,” Romney stated. “We will build an America where “hope” is a new job with a paycheck, not a faded word on an old bumper sticker.”

From transformation to restoration, the goal of the 2012 election is imminent. Barack Hussein Obama has disgraced the office of the American Presidency with his socialistic agenda. The 2012 election is critical to the future of America. Restoring American exceptionalism is the nation’s only chance for survival. This will require rescuing the private sector from the oppression of government regulation, regaining the nation’s AAA credit rating, reducing the national debt and practicing fiscal responsibility, for example. Other important issues include reducing America’s dependence on foreign oil, tighter immigration regulations, and adequate defense funding.

Most importantly, though, in order to fully restore American exceptionalism, America needs a leadership and a people who are truly proud, not only to live in America but to be American. Restoring American pride is essential. No more apologizing for America. Patriots, the time has come to rise up and defend the honor of this great nation. God bless the United States of America.
