Kagan: Wrong for America

Elena Kagan made it through the Senate Judiciary committee with no problem and was able to pick up a Republican vote. Who do you think that is? Our Republican yellow belly Lindsey Graham is the lucky lone star again. What is even worse are the reasons Graham gives for his vote on Kagan. He basically states that she is a good person at heart and is willing to be judicial and not political in her Supreme Court Justice position.

We cannot trust her to be military friendly since she shunned them away and off her Harvard campus completely. We cannot trust a person that has the heart of stone that she has and urge President Clinton to argue AGAINST a ban on the barbaric partial-birth abortion procedure. We cannot trust a person who writes a legal “white paper” that justifies the thought of considering the Federal Government above the individual right of free speech in all First Amendment cases. This is not someone I want interpreting the Constitution that contains the Bill of Rights.

As I stated in an earlier post here, free speech and the rights of gun owners are NOT her top priorities even though they are at the top of the Bill of Rights. Graham states that she is funny and smart. I don’t care if she has an I.Q. of 200. For her to make the argument that the Constitution is a “living document” and thus allows the government to expand its powers is a notion our Founders would balk at.

We the American People need to call our senators and tell them to vote ‘no’ on Kagan. I cannot actually believe our leaders will fall for this liberal activist as a legitimate person who would issue judicial rulings according to the Constitution. Her record and paper trail clearly make her anti-military, anti-gun and government-limited speech. It is very important that we voice our concern over this LIFETIME appointment.
