Daily Kos Weak Argument on Net Neutrality
by: jason hammond | published: 08 17, 2010
One of the contributors at Daily Kos, Joan McCarter, decided to TRY to turn the tables on the conservative's opposition to the Net Neutrality effort put forth by the FCC. Clearly, there are well-intended arguments both for and against Net Neutrality. However, Joan tries to portray the Tea Party as against Net Neutrality because the Tea Party groups are run by and controlled by corporate greed and special interest groups.
Joan on Daily Kos writes in her post Tea Party on Net Neutrality: Please shut us up!: "Of course, it could be that the teabaggers aren't worried about tiered service because FreedomWorks or whatever corporate interests are behind this new anti-net neutrality organizing force will foot any premium charges to move teabagger content quickly and efficiently. If the fees aren't just waived by sympathetic ISPs (or ISPs pressured into doing so by FreedomWorks-paid lobbying/pressure campaigns)."
All I have to say is nice try Joan. If that is all you can think of to write against the Tea Party's opposition to Net Neutrality, then the argument that corporate interests are behind the Tea Party is clearly a weak attempt at writing a post designed to smear conservatives. Keep up the good work Joan!
