Obama is Trying to Fool Americans in Healthcare Battle

Don't be fooled.

After weeks of Americans protesting the proposed health care scheme put forward by Obama, Pelosi and Reid the President seemed to hint to the media that he might pull back from a public option.

However, Obama said he said he was not in favor of single-payer socialist healthcare ...despite being on video in a previous campaign saying he was for it. He said that a Public Option would not lead to the elimination of private insurance ...but our ACU video featuring Congressman and Dr. Roe pointed out that is exactly what would happen. Obama is now signaling he might only support government created Co-Ops, not the option ... but what is he really up to?

Just like his earlier statements his latest moves are a Trojan horse ...

Because Obama and his liberal allies led by Pelosi and Reid have been plotting to try and ram through the Congress their version of health care - all they want is for you and I to back down.

We must - YOU MUST - continue fighting back and not back down.

The New York Times reported this morning: "Democrats Seem Set to Go It Alone on a Health Bill"

Their story says, "Given hardening Republican opposition to Congressional health care proposals, Democrats now say they see little chance of the minority's cooperation in approving any overhaul, and are increasingly focused on drawing support for a final plan from within their own ranks."

However, more moderate Democrats in the House have already shown fear. They are listening to the cries of Americans who are opposed to government-run care - they might turn against Obama, Reid and Pelosi. And, in the Senate, several Democrats like Kennedy and Byrd are ill and have missed many votes. Reid might not be able to pass a bill if there is enough opposition.

We need to keep Republicans opposed and urge Democrats concerned about re-election to listen to the American people!

We have sent a letter to the Senate and House committees with many Member signatures asking for an investigation into the Obama White House's plans to track emails ... guess what happened? The White House cancelled the program yesterday.

We urged you and other Members to write in or turn out at Town Hall meetings. The WASHINGTON TIMES reported, "The much larger American Conservative Union has been another force behind town-hall turnout, e-mailing lists to its members about the hundreds of town-hall meetings lawmakers have scheduled for the rest of the month. Its clarion call: "Speak up and be heard on the issue of government-run health care."

Our message is starting to get through - but now it is time to ramp up and fight back even harder, now!

Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama and other liberal talking heads have said the protests were not real - they say you are not real. They have tried to convince the news media that they should not be covering town halls. Nancy Pelosi calls us - "Astroturf" - or fake grassroots.

In response, some in the media have taken the White House's bait. We wanted to prove Obama and Pelosi Wrong.

Guess what we learned. ... Obama and the liberals are the ones organizing. They are trying to lay Astroturf... but the American people aren't buying it.

The Democrats' liberal allies are pulling out all of the stops - as our ROADTRIP uncovered.

They are doing so because the labor unions have said Obama must pass a socialist single-payer or government-run option. Liberals are crying out for more government control - they are trying to warp the media and warp public opinion to send our nation further into debt.

However common sense tells us we are right. Obama tried to hold up the Post Office as an example of a good "public option." The Post Office...? As Bloomberg News reported the postal service can only stay in business with government subsidies. The USPS lost $2.4 billion in the quarter ended in June and projects a net loss of $7 billion in fiscal 2009, outstanding debt of more than $10 billion and a cash shortfall of $1 billion. Is that what we want with government health care?

Even Warren Buffett who backed Obama now says that the massive amounts of spending, "pose threats to the world's largest economy and its currency." Federal Spending is projected to swell the deficit to 13 percent of gross domestic product this fiscal year, while net debt will increase to 56 percent of GDP.
