The Candy Man Takes Center Stage at State of Disunion Speech
by: jb williams | published: 01 26, 2011
Remember that old pop standard The Candy Man, by Sammy Davis Jr.? “Who can take a sunrise, sprinkle it with dew Cover it with choc'late and a miracle or two - The Candy Man, oh the Candy Man can…”
I had completely forgotten about this song until Obama entered the political arena. Every time I hear him speak, or hear any of his sycophants speak about him, I can hear this old pop standard ringing in my head like a broken record.
Never in history has our nation been more divided, more on the brink of utter disaster, or more angry about it all. But tomorrow night, the Candy Man will take center stage at what can only be described as a state of disunion speech.
Who can take a rainbow, wrap it in a sigh
Soak it in the sun and make a groovy lemon pie
The Candy Man, the Candy Man can
The Candy Man can 'cause he mixes it with love and makes the world taste good
That great and wonderful Oz behind Obama’s teleprompter has undoubtedly worked feverishly to find the right words for the puppet-in-chief to settle the frayed nerves of congress and voters alike, despite the reality that the state of our union has never been worse.
It will sound more like a Sammy Davis Jr. song and dance than a real report to the people about the disastrous state of their nation, under his watch. Unemployment remains at an all-time high since the Great Depression, despite trillions of so-called stimulus spending which has resulted in nothing but a record level of backbreaking national debt.
Iraq and Afghanistan are going much worse than under Bush, with increased daily terror bombings while Iraqi soldiers turn fire on US Military soldiers trying to train them how to deal with terrorists. Lebanon’s terrorist based coalition government has collapsed, Russia is now experiencing terror bombings, and Obama has his Department of Homeland Security treating every American citizen from the airport to Wal-Mart like a potential domestic terrorist as they force us to live amongst our enemies in their concept of Soros’ open society.
Most states are discussing filing bankruptcy as the only option for getting out from under the mountain of unsustainable debt caused by public sector union contracts and pensions, along with the high cost of delivering social justice for illegal immigrants.
The Candy Man makes everything he bakes satisfying and delicious
Now you talk about your childhood wishes, you can even eat the dishes
Under Obama, you’re going to have to eat your dishes before long. In a brief two years, they have increased the national debt by more than 40%, to a staggering $14 TRILLION… Put that in context with the fact that the US Treasury has only $900 billion in circulation throughout the entire world, and that number becomes more meaningful.
From his perch high in the Ivory Tower we used to call the people’s White House, Obama and his countless unconstitutional Czars are running everything from auto manufacturing to food supply, energy to banking, insurance to healthcare. This, the liberals call freedom…
But all is well, nothing to see here folks, just join us in a song and keep moving along…
Oh, who can take tomorrow, dip it in a dream
Separate the sorrow and collect up all the cream
The Candy Man, oh the Candy Man can
The Candy Man can 'cause he mixes it with love and makes the world taste good
Private sector jobs are created by private sector businesses, and odd as it may seem, private sector employers are not known for investing risk capital in a socialist Czar-run economy. Under Obama’s anti-business regime, employers are more likely to invest in Red China than the US, which has taken a shine to Marxist wealth redistribution at the expense of free-market wealth creation.
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Who can take tomorrow, dip it in a dream
Separate the sorrow and collect up all the cream
The Candy Man, the Candy Man can
The Candy Man can 'cause he mixes it with love and makes the world taste good
Yes, the Candy Man can 'cause he mixes it with love and makes the world taste good
Are Americans really still buying this snake charmer and his song and teleprompter routine?
