After the pasting the Congress received a few days ago and BHO leaving the country (not for good) for more friendly waters (spending hundreds of millions of your tax dollars getting there) I want to give some of what is transpiring over the internet superhighway after the election. Act now to repeal pro-abortion Obama Care

It is absolutely clear that Americans are fed up with Washington's big government and big spending. Voters reacted by demanding change creating a significant power shift a new Congress. Obama's health care law, if allowed to stand, will fund the largest expansion of abortion in America since Roe v. Wade, all using taxpayer dollars. Big wins for enforcement & less immigration

IN THE HOUSE

1. They wiped out a net of three dozen More-Immigration seats in the House.
    
2. They knocked the number of More-Immigration seats down to about 170, far below the 218 majority needed to pass legislation, seemingly eradicating any possibility of "comprehensive immigration reform" being considered in the next Congress.
    
3. They didn't just go for mild enforcement types. They filled about two dozen of those current More-Immigration seats with Less-Immigration candidates who made explicit promises not only to push stringent enforcement measures but also promised to work to eliminate several categories of legal immigration.
    
4. The number of elected Less-Immigration candidates promising stepped-up immigration enforcement looks like it will fall just short of the 218 majority. But most of the final 50 elected candidates classified as Uncommitted appear likely to lean toward more enforcement if presented opportunities and requirements to vote on it. There is no question that a solid pro-enforcement, bi-partisan majority will exist in the new House.

IN THE SENATE

1. Five or six of the Senate's most aggressive More-Immigration Members were replaced by less-Immigration candidates.
    
2. That shift puts the More-Immigration bloc about 10 votes short of stopping a filibuster and creates a virtual 50-50 deadlock in the Senate.

NOM Achieves Stunning and Historic Wins for Marriage

For the first time in the entire history of judicial retention elections in Iowa, the Supreme Court justices were defeated. And not just one, but ALL THREE judges up for retention who forced same-sex marriage on the state were resoundingly defeated by roughly 54 percent. Amazing. The people have spoken and they will not tolerate judges imposing same-sex marriage on the voters. Period. And now those shockwaves are beginning to be felt. Here are some highlights of the reaction:

In the New York Times, Prof. Erwin Chemerinsky, the dean of the University of California, Irvine, School of Law: "What is so disturbing about this is it really might cause judges in the future to be less willing to protect minorities out of fear they might be voted out of office. Something like this really does chill other judges."

Prof. Joseph Grodin, one of the California state supreme court justices ousted in 1986 over their death penalty ruling: "Obviously it has an impact on the independence of judges and how they think of their role -- I think that's demonstrable," he told the New York Times. But then he said something really amazing: "But more than that," he continued, "I think the damage is not on judges, but that courts will come to be seen and judges will come to be seen as simply legislators with robes."

There is a story about two lumberjacks. One worked day and night practically nonstop and still had a difficult time meeting his goals for the amount of trees chopped down. The other came in on time and left on time. He took his lunch time and managed to far exceed the other lumberjack. Finally the first lumberjack went to the second and asked "How is it that you work regular hours, take a full lunch, and manage to cut more than I do. The second answered...While you work extra hours and through your lunch.... I am sharpening my axe. Every person needs to take moments or time to sharpen their axe. Reid's Next Folly

Reid is planning on forcing an immigration vote on the Dream Act during this lame duck session. With other more important issues that need immediate attention, he has failed to learn anything from last night. For him it is business as usual. He is counting on some Republicans to join him.
